An acquirer is the company used to process card transactions. Your merchant account is opened with an acquirer, and you'll receive a bill directly from them each month.
A Merchant Identification Number, also known as a MID, is your account's identification number. You'll be given this when you first open an account with us, and it's what we use to locate your account on our system.
If you take card payments a number of ways (e.g. a card machine and a virtual terminal), you'll be given a different merchant identification number for each.
Terminal Identification Number, also known as a TID, is your terminal's identification number. If you open an account to take card payments through one of our card payment terminals, you'll be provided with your TID as part of your welcome pack.
If you get multiple card machines with us, we'll give you a different terminal identification number for each device.
Once you've been accepted by your acquirer and everything has been configured, we'll call you and email you to let you know that your terminal is on its way. Please allow two working days for it to arrive once you've received confirmation of despatch.
